In modern clothing customization, T-shirts are widely popular due to their comfort and diverse designs. Whether for personal casual wear, team activities, or corporate promotions, custom T-shirts are a great choice. However, selecting the right size is key to ensuring a good fit.

I. Preparation for Measurement
Before starting to measure, ensure you have a soft measuring tape, paper, and pen to record each measurement. It is advisable to find a person with a moderate physique to take the measurements, ensuring the accuracy of the results. Additionally, wearing fitted clothing during measurement is preferable to avoid affecting the data.
II. Measurement Methods for Key Dimensions
1. Neck Circumference
Measuring the neck circumference is a crucial step in customizing T-shirts. The correct neck circumference not only affects the comfort of the T-shirt but also relates to the overall appearance.
Measurement Method: Wrap the soft measuring tape around the base of your throat, ensuring that it is neither too loose nor too tight, to guarantee measurement accuracy.
Allowance: Based on personal comfort needs, you can add 1-2 centimeters. This step is particularly important if you prefer a loose style or plan to add design elements to the neckline.
2. Chest Circumference
The chest circumference is one of the key dimensions of a T-shirt and directly affects the fit and comfort.
Measurement Method: When measuring the chest circumference, start from the outer side of the shirt along the underarm, going around the fullest part of the chest.
Allowance: Based on the chest circumference measurement, add 3-5 centimeters as needed to ensure that the shirt is not too tight when worn.
3. Shoulder Width
Accurate measurement of shoulder width is another important factor in ensuring a well-fitted T-shirt. Incorrect measurement can lead to poor fitting.
Measurement Method: Measure from the outer edge of the left shoulder blade to the outer edge of the right shoulder blade, ensuring that the measuring tape is straight and not loose.
Note: If the shoulder width is measured too wide, the T-shirt may appear loose. Conversely, if it is measured too small, the sleeves and underarms may be tight, affecting comfort.
4. Sleeve Length and Cuff
The length of the sleeves and the size of the cuffs are equally important, especially when choosing between short-sleeve or long-sleeve T-shirts.
Sleeve Length Measurement: Start from the outer edge of the left shoulder blade down to the base of the thumb, adjusting the length based on personal needs.
Cuff Measurement: Measure around the wrist to ensure the cuff is neither too tight nor too loose, allowing it to fit comfortably around the wrist.
5. Shirt Length
The measurement of the shirt length directly influences the overall style of the T-shirt; being too short or too long can affect the wearing effect.
Measurement Method: Start measuring from the left side of the neck at the base, passing through the highest point of the chest, and measuring to the desired length, usually suggested to the base of the thumb.
Adjustment Recommendation: If you wish to customize a looser style, you can add 3-5 centimeters; if you prefer a more fitted look, the length can be shortened accordingly.
Before mass customization, it is recommended to first create a sample for fitting. By trying it on, you can gain a more intuitive understanding of the T-shirt's fit and comfort, and make necessary adjustments based on real conditions.
